Not every no-start is a bad battery. We test the battery and the charging system first. If the battery is the problem, we quote a replacement on the spot; if the alternator or starter is at fault, a new battery will not fix it and we tell you so.

Newer cars

Questions
How do I know my battery is dying?
Slow cranking, a battery warning light, needing jump starts and headlights that dim at idle are the usual signs. Cold weather exposes a weak battery fastest.
Is a replacement always needed after a jump?
No. A battery drained by lights left on can recover fully after a good drive. A battery that keeps going flat, or tests weak, is the one to replace.
Can you replace it in a parking lot or at home?
Yes, wherever the vehicle is and it is safe to work. Give dispatch the location when you call.
